Welcome to NOMAD Outdoor, thank's for stopping by! We all know the wonderful relaxing experience of heading out with family and friends for a weekend BBQ! The NOMAD 4.0 BBQ was born out of a sad experience on a sunny QLD beach in 2021 when we copped a fine for making a fire on the sand. We should have known better... After researching the Park and Wildlife rules, we were pleased to find that cooking on the beach is okay, so long as you have the right gear! After searching for months we decided that the collapsible fire pits & grills available just didn't tick the boxes. Heavy, difficult to set up, made of low grade steel and a load of work to pack up. Researching a few ideas from various products on the market, we outlined our key design features including: Corrosion proof, compact & lightweight, an adjustable cooking grill and fast setup within 30 seconds. Thanks to modern computer design and state of the art local manufacturing, the NOMAD 4.0 BBQ Braai was born. What's a braai? With family roots in South Africa, a traditional braai is a social gathering to enjoy food, family, friends and a few coldies - and always includes a wood or charcoal fired barbecue. The Dutch term "Braaivleis," meaning "grilled meat," is well integrated into South African culture and although living in this wonderful continent of Australia for over 20 years, some traditions die hard.
