The NOMAD Outdoor Adventure Water Filter is the ultimate companion for outdoor lovers and is perfect for everything from camping with the kids to traveling abroad where tap and bottle water can't be trusted.
The NOMAD Outdoor Adventure Water Filter houses a cluster of micro-fibrous tubes which use similar technology found in medical dialysis. As water passes through the side walls of the tubes, harmful bacteria and protozoa are trapped on the outer walls so you can be confident your water is safe to drink. It removes 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria, E.coli, giardia, cryptosporidium occysts, 99.9% of waterborne protozoan parasites and many other contaminates larger than 0.2μm.
Use as a personal straw filter while hiking remote trails to ensure you have safe drinking water when utlising streams and river water supplies. Simply remove the protective dust caps and use the water filter like a straw to drink directly from the water source or other container.
When used for cooking, the NOMAD water filter can be connected to a standard 1.25 litre soft drink bottle or dedicated water pouch.
Fill your bottle with untreated water, remove the dust cap and fix the filter onto the bottle firmly. Invert the water bottle and squeeze the bottle or pouch to dispense filtered water.
Note: Always be sure to check the flow direction on the water filter and ensure water flows as per the directional arrow.
HOW LONG WILL THE FILTER LAST
Unused, the filter has a shelf life of 5 years. This means you can keep your straw for many years as part of your personal safety kit.
Once used, your NOMAD water filter will last up to 12 months or until flow becomes too slow to use the filter efficiently.
Please note, the life of your filter depends on the quality of the water being filtered. NOMAD water filters are designed to remove fine particles so will block up as they are used. This is normal.
When not in use, store your NOMAD water filter in the plastic reusable dust proof storage pouch or a clean zip seal bag.
Before using your water filter after a period of storage, always flush approximately 500ml (2 cups) of water through the filter before use.
Take the NOMAD Outdoor Adventure water filter along on family adventures to keep you and your family safe!
